Murray River Trails took out the top gong at the 2021 South Australian Tourism Awards for an astonishing fourth year in a row, adding to their Hall of Fame status earned last year.

Tasmanian Walking Company meanwhile earned it’s place in the Tasmanian Tourism Awards for the first time , after winning it’s third gold award in the category in 2021.

Both Murray River Trails and Tasmanian Walking Company will go on to compete in the national Australian Tourism Awards, to be held in March 2022.

Recent drier summers in Tasmania’s alpine regions have created a pressing need to accurately map and collect seeds from ancient stands of Montane Conifers.

To help achieve this goal, Tasmanian Walking Company are partnering with the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens on two special Overland Track/Cradle Mountain Huts Montane Conifer Seed Collection Walks for the following dates:

·         29 March – 03 April, 2020, and

·         13 – 18 April 2020

This is an exclusive opportunity to experience the iconic overland track with Cradle Mountain Huts and be part of an important conservation project with the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
