This appointment comes at a time of evolving global travel trends, with increasing demand for immersive, nature-based experiences and high-quality guided journeys. Giovanna brings extensive experience across tourism, strategy, and commercial growth, supporting organisations to adapt, scale, and connect with new markets.

Giovanna Lever is Founder and Managing Director of Sparrowly and Co-Founder and Director of AccessA. Her expertise spans strategic planning, brand positioning, and industry collaboration.

Gary Smith, Chair of Great Walks of Australia, said the appointment reflects the organisation’s commitment to strong governance and future-focused leadership.

“Giovanna brings a depth of experience that will support Great Walks of Australia as we continue to evolve and respond to both domestic and international opportunities. Her strategic insight and understanding of the tourism landscape will be invaluable as we work alongside our members, Tourism Australia, State and industry partners.”

Giovanna Lever said she was excited to join the Board at a time of continued opportunity for Australian walking experiences.

“Great Walks of Australia represents some of the most unique and compelling tourism experiences in the country. I look forward to contributing to the collective’s growth and supporting its members to showcase the depth, quality, and diversity of Australia’s walking experiences to the world.”
